Our foundation

MicroCiclo is a biotechnology-based academic spin off, founded in August 2019, by researchers from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).

Our work

For fifteen years, the multidisciplinary team of the Molecular Biology and Genomics Laboratory (LBMG) employed techniques from environmental genetics, petroleum microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry and bioinformatics in research. From this team came the founders of MicroCiclo with the mission of redefining the treatment of oily waste using science as a major ally.

Deposit of the 1st Patent at the INPI

It is a strategic resource for Microciclo, being an instrument of competitive advantage and a certificate of innovation. The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte is the holder and the Microciclo team is the inventor of the first prototype.
